Suárez comanda lista de craques que apareceram na Copa; veja
A Copa do Mundo de 2010 colocou na vitrine alguns novos jogadores. Eles passarão a ser melhor observados e até cobiçados. Eles estavam escondidos em clubes de pouca tradição ou que não vivem bom momento, mas que, pelas boas atuações, têm talento para desfilar em grandes equipes. 1 – Suarez (Uruguai)
Ele joga no Ajax, onde até agora não ganhou muita notoriedade. O atacante do Uruguai foi um dos grandes nomes do Mundial ao levar sua seleção ao quarto lugar. Foram quatro gols, dois deles importantíssimos diante da Coreia do Sul. Mas ficou mais famoso por causa de outra jogada. Nas quartas de final diante de Gana, tirou um gol dos africanos com a mão no último instante da prorrogação. Pênalti. Na cobrança, Gyan errou, e a partida foi para a disputa por pênaltis, em que os uruguaios levaram a melhor com a passagem para a semifinal.
2 – Ozil (Alemanha)
Chegou ao Mundial como um coadjuvante, mas mostrou uma tremenda habilidade para armar jogadas. O jogador do Werder Bremen ainda conta a juventude a seu favor e tem tudo para brilhar no futuro. Marcou o gol da classificação da Alemanha na primeira fase, na vitória sobre Gana por 1 a 0, e fazia parte do rápido meio-de-campo com Müller, Schweinsteiger e Khedira. É bem possível que não siga em seu clube para a próxima temporada do futebol europeu.
3 – Honda (Japão)
Ele joga no CSKA Moscou. Mas não deve ficar por lá de acordo com o desempenho que teve na África do Sul. Foi o grande nome de seu país, que só caiu nas oitavas de final em uma disputa por pênaltis contra o Paraguai. Honda mostrou grande habilidade na criação de jogadas e bom potencial nos chutes de longa distância. Enfim, tudo o que caracteriza um grande jogador de meio-de-campo.
4 – Landon Donovan (EUA)
Ele já teve oportunidades no futebol europeu, mas nunca em um clube de primeira grandeza. Agora, ele, que atua no Los Angeles Galaxy, pode voltar a ser observado. Praticamente carregou a seleção norte-americana nas costas. No último minuto da primeira fase, fez o gol que classificou sua equipe na vitória por 1 a 0 sobre a Argélia. Falhou nas oitavas de final diante de Gana, mas essa derrota não apagou seu brilho durante o torneio.

5 – Gyan (Gana)
Um dos últimos momentos dele no Mundial não foi bom. Foi uma cobrança de pênalti errada no último minuto da prorrogação das quartas de final contra o Uruguai. Antes disso, porém, se consagrou no melhor jogador de seu país. Tem potencial para um clube bem melhor que seu Rennes, pois tem faro de goleador e também tem porte para ajudar o meio-de-campo, especialmente na marcação.
6 – Piqué (Espanha)
Já atua em um clube grande e do Barcelona não deve sair. Mas Piqué entra de vez na lista dos grandes beques do futebol mundial. Mostrou grande segurança ao lado de Puyol e era a técnica da defesa espanhola. Foi um dos pilares da equipe campeã mundial e, com certeza, terá seu contrato valorizado depois das belas atuações e da garra demonstrada com a camisa da “Fúria”.
7 – Vittek (Eslováquia)
Ele joga em um clube pequeno da Turquia. Mas pelo que mostrou na Copa de 2010, tem potencial para mais. Foram quatro gols em quatro partidas, até a eliminação nas oitavas de final diante da Holanda. Os mais importantes foram os dois contra a Itália na terceira partida da primeira fase. A vitória por 3 a 2 levou seu país para o mata-mata e eliminou a Azzurra.

8 – Elano (Brasil)
Era um dos jogadores menos renomados. Mas seu toque de bola foi duramente sentido nas quartas de final diante da Holanda. Antes de se machucar, era um dos jogadores que chegavam ao ataque como fator surpresa. e dessa forma, marcou dois gols. Não é à toa que o Galatasaray terá trabalho para segurá-lo. Seu nome já foi até ventilado como reforço da Juventus.
9 – Mertesacker (Alemanha)
O zagueiro atua no Werder Bremen desde 2006. Nunca foi um grande nome, mas, depois da segurança que mostrou mesmo atuando um time extremamente ofensivo, passará a ser visto de maneira diferente. Aos 25 anos de idade, foi o comandante da equipe que terminou na terceira colocação após ser eliminada nas semifinais pela Espanha.
10 – Eduardo (Portugal)
As boas atuações que teve no Mundial de 2010 o levaram a uma transferência. Deixou o Braga para atuar pelo Genoa. Mas mostrou potencial de ir mais longe. Seu país parou nas oitavas de final, mas levou apenas um gol em quatro partidas, justamente na eliminação ao perder da Espanha por 1 a 0. Reflexo é o ponto forte de Eduardo.
