O meio-campista Angel Di María disse nesta terça-feira que está descontente com seu baixo rendimento no Mundial da África do Sul e que não se adaptou ao trabalho defensivo solicitado por Diego Maradona, a quem apoiou no comando da seleção argentina.
Di María, que tentará repetir no Real Madrid suas boas atuações em seu time anterior, o Benfica, também se surpreendeu com a recepção na Argentina apesar da goleada de 4 x 0 sofrida no sábado contra a Alemanha nas quartas de final da Copa do Mundo.

“Tive que me acostumar com uma posição na qual nunca jogo”, disse Di María ao canal TyC Sports, da Argentina.
“Tive que aprender a defender e creio que não consegui fazê-lo bem. Estou totalmente descontente com meu futebol no Mundial”, acrescentou.
A eliminação foi um golpe inesperado para os argentinos, que haviam se entusiasmado com a seleção, que venceu todas as partidas disputadas e somou um saldo de 10 gols, o melhor do torneio antes do duro revés diante da Alemanha.
Depois da partida na Cidade do Cabo, o técnico Maradona disse em uma coletiva de imprensa ter ficado “sem forças” e que irá debater sua permanência como treinador mais adiante com sua família.
Milhares de simpatizantes receberam euforicamente a seleção no domingo portando bandeiras com frases sobre a permanência de Maradona, que também recebeu o apoio de jogadores, dirigentes e até da presidente Cristina Kirchner.
“Ficamos surpresos com a recepção (do povo) porque uma derrota como a que sofremos não merecia algo assim”, disse Di María.
Sobre Maradona continuar no cargo, o meio-campista ofensivo disse: “Se fosse por mim, seria bom que continuasse”. (Fonte: Reuters)
