Ausência de ‘estrangeiros’ cancela jogo do time de Joel
A África do Sul resolveu cancelar um amistoso marcado contra a Namíbia devido à impossibilidade de contar com os jogadores que atuam fora do país. A partida da seleção comandada por Joel Santanna estava marcada para o dia 4 de novembro, na cidade de Kimberley.
Segundo a Safa, a confederação sul-africana, o jogo não teria utilidade sem a presença de seus principais nomes. Os clubes não seriam obrigados a liberar seus atletas já que não se trata de uma data Fifa, isto é, um período de competição oficial.
Depois de um início conturbado e cheio de críticas no país que será a sede do Mundial de 2010, Santana soma três vitórias seguidas no cargo, incluindo um triunfo sobre Gana por 2 a 1.
